The second hypothesis was also rejected. The third hypothesis investigated whether abortion was perceived as a harmless method more by boys than girls. This hypothesis was also rejected. The last hypothesis examined whether or not girls are more likely than boys to protect themselves from unwanted pregnancy. This hypothesis was also rejected. Data for the quantitative research survey was collected using a non-standardised questionnaire. The data was processed the graphical and tabular evaluation was performed using Microsoft Excel and SPSS. The cohort comprised 196 respondents; 135 women and 61 men completed the questionnaire. The first four questions identified the basic identification data of women, followed by eleven questions that focused on the interruption, its complications and its implications. Interviews with midwives were performed in April, May and June in 2017 in selected gynecological clinics in the South Bohemian Region. A total of thirteen open questions were set up for the interview, dealing with the interruptions and a range of issues surrounding it. The interviews with women and midwives were rewritten into the printed form and analyzed by the dyeing method. On the basis of the analyzed data, the main categories and subcategories were identified. Data obtained from interviews with women were divided into three main categories, which were extended by seven subcategories. Analyzed data from interviews with midwives were divided into four main categories, supplemented by nine subcategories. The results of the research show that most women surveyed have problems with abortion and its problematic neutral attitude. Five out of eight interviewed women consider abortion to be an essential part of women's life for the choice that every woman has a right without having to explain or prevent it. Only three respondents showed a negative attitude to abortion. Two women say their negative attitude to the violation is heavily influenced by the Christian faith they profess. Only one woman said the negative attitude to the violation was based on her own conviction. Like women and most interviewed midwives, she has a neutral view of abortion and her problems. Only one of the five midwives interviewed had negative opinions about the interruption, but at the same time stated that this opinion always stayed outside the door of the surgery, and during her practice she did not allow her attitude to affect her professional attitude and understanding of the woman and her decisions. The results of the research can be used as information material for midwives, in the education of women on the topic of abortion and its consequences. Attitude of unmarried young women to the issue of unwanted parenthood and abortion
CIPÍNOVÁ, Dagmar
The issue of abortions raises a number of conflicting opinions. Although women in the western society can use methods of a birth control, there are still unwanted pregnancies ending in the abortion. This intervention is legal in our society, but many people condemn it. Based on my diploma thesis I therefore wanted to ascertain opinions and attitudes of contemporary young women to the issue of an unwanted parenthood and abortions. I was primarily interested whether their opinions were influenced by a level of their education attainment. In relation to the aim of my thesis one of two determined hypotheses was confirmed. The research showed that an opinion of unmarried young women to this issue was not influenced by their education. Most women think that the right to undergo the abortion has every woman no matter what her reason is. Though, at the same time women perceive the intervention as a desperate solution of a hopeless situation, which they would undergo only from compelling reasons such as for example health problems or a pregnancy after the rape. Economic and social reasons are no longer a sufficient argument for them.
Abortion as an Ethical Problem
ZÍBAROVÁ, Zuzana
This thesis deals with ethical aspects of abortion. In the theoretical part, I focus first on the definition of the term abortion and its legal history. I also follow the use and development of contraception and review certain legal and medical conditions necessary for performing the procedure. I try to define ethics, discuss moral judgment and some ethical concepts. I list some of the groups fighting for the annulment of law that legalizes abortion in the Czech Republic. Further, I turn my attention to doctors and their views, to Hippocrates{\crq} oath and post-abortive syndrome. I touch upon the issue of emotions, decisions and principles. I also concentrate on abortion as a result of the child{\crq}s disability or a solution after a crime. I claim that women might face the threat of social exclusion as a consequence of the abortion. I provide information on holism, ascentism and maternal instinct. I follow the development of attitude to parenthood. The work is completed by analysis of the collected data. In this part, I present various opinions regarding abortion. I seek to find out whether the respondents think that they are sufficiently informed about the issue of abortion and which sources they use, when the fetus becomes a human being and whether they think that the father{\crq}s consent is necessary for the procedure. I inquire whether they agree with abortion in general or only for specific reasons and whether the woman has the right to decide about life and death of the unborn child. The goal of the work was to present various ethical views of the given issue and to review opinions regarding the abortion rate and procedure of a selected section of inhabitants of the Ústí region. The research was conducted through quantitative approach, method of questioning and technique of questionnaire. It was performed in bigger towns and cities of the region. The sample consisted of 300 people. I set two hypotheses. First hypothesis: The older generation opposes the idea of abortion more strongly than the younger. Second hypothesis: In the Ústí region there are more people who agree with abortion than those who disagree. While the first hypothesis proved false, the second one proved correct.
Problems artificial abortion from look midwife
NOVISEDLÁKOVÁ, Andrea
The Bachelor{\crq}s thesis focuses on induced abortion and issues regarding it from the point of view of a midwife. Induced abortion is still a topical subject that is widely discussed not only in politics and religious circles but also by the public. The theoretical section of the thesis describes individual methods that can be utilized for an abortion in the 1st and 2nd trimesters (manual vacuum aspiration/mini-suction, classic instrument abortion, and pharmacological abortion) and their possible complications, including psychological. Nursing care the woman receives during the abortion is also included in the section. Also mentioned is abortion{\crq}s history regarding the methods of abortion, views and opinions of it, and legislation regarding it up to a citation of current Act No. 66/1986 Coll. The issue of induced abortion is also dealt with from an ethical point of view. The objective of the thesis was to ascertain the opinions of midwives regarding induced abortion. Also studied was whether midwives not only have knowledge regard-ing the nursing care given to a woman during the abortion but also about the psycho-logical care given to her. A quantitative survey in the form of a questionnaire was util-ized for the collection of data. The midwives in selected hospitals in the Hradec Králové Region were the investigated group. Results of the research are contained in the practi-cal section and are depicted utilizing tables and graphs, created for individual questions in the questionnaire or a combination thereof.
